Russell Garland Lynn, Sr. 68, Waverly, formerly of Liberty, Kentucky, died December 19, 2012. Mr. Lynn was born February 7, 1944, in Liberty, Kentucky, to the late George H. and Sylvia (Cochran) Lynn
He was a self-employed brick layer. Garland enjoyed all things related to racing and race cars, shooting pool, and having a good time with family and friends. He was the life of the party.
Garland was preceded in death by his two daughters, Julie and Gina Lynn; one brother, Donald Lynn.
Survivors include one son, Russell Lynn, Jr.; grandchildren, Tiffany Lynn and Trevor Lynn; brothers, Estil Lynn, Jerry Lynn, George Lynn, and Jim Lynn; sisters, Patsy Sizemore, Eva Snow, Gwen Atwood, and Susan Thomas.
The funeral service will begin at 5 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2012, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling from 3 p.m. Cremation will follow at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville. I can remember when we were younger and he would come down to Kentucky and we would say here comes Santa Claus, I am going to miss my Uncle so much and miss seeing him, I loved him so much….RIP
