Guestbook

  1. Ruth was one of my late mother’s (Patricia Leath) best friends when I was growing up in Mooresville. I remember her fondly.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time. Shyaam Akasha (aka Debi Gores)

  3. We are so sorry to learn of the loss of your Mother, Ruth. Please know that you are in our prayers and we wish we could be there with you today in Mooresville. Sincerely, Barb and Steve Burlingame

  4. Ruth was a mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a nurse… but she was so much more. She was a shoulder to cry on when life kicked you in the teeth, someone to rejoice with when life was going right, someone who always knew the right thing to say to soothe a broken heart. She never broke a promise. She loved freely with all her being, until the very end. She helped me and all her family and friends, no matter what we needed; she was always there. She gave regularly to charity, even though she didn’t have much to give. She taught me, her grand-daughter, to be compassionate and kind, even when I didn’t feel like it. She taught me how to sew a hem, plant a flower, sweep a floor, bake cookies, and most importantly, she taught me how to truly open my heart to others, no matter who they were or where they came from. She taught me to love myself for who I am, and gave me the encouragement I needed when I needed it most throughout my life. I will miss her with every fiber of my being and every ounce of my soul until the day we meet again. I miss you Grandma. I love you, now and forever.
