Sandra L. Wilder

Sandra L. Farmer Wilder, 71, Martinsville, died suddenly in the Emergency Room at IU Morgan Hospital, Martinsville. Mrs. Wilder was born June 15, 1941, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Fred and Hazel (Chumley) Farmer.

Mrs. Wilder was a proud homemaker. She enjoyed crafts, antiques, reading, fishing, and painting. She will be missed by a loving family for her generous and kind spirit.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Farmer.

Survivors include her husband, Ed Smith Wilder, to whom she was united in marriage December 20, 1961; daughters, Jana Paige Carey of Frankfort, Kentucky, Kelly Leibrandt (Troy) of Indianapolis, and Lisa Bennett of Martinsville; sister, Carol Dawn Bryant (Bob) of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Bri Leibrandt, Katie Bennett, Kyle Bennett, and Carson Bennett; two great grandchildren, Kenadie Rae Schultz and Blane Oakley O’Neal.

The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, July 20, 2012. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Waverly. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
