Sandra Louise Miller, known lovingly as Sandy, passed away on June 22, 2026, in Carmel, Indiana, at the age of 82. Sandy will be remembered with love by all who knew her. Her smile, warmth, strength, and devotion to her family are a lasting legacy in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She married her high school sweetheart Gary P. Miller on September 7, 1963. Sandy and Gary spent most of their years in Rockford, IL, but also lived in Fish Creek, WI, Destin, FL and had recently moved to Carmel, IN. She worked alongside Gary in their manufacturer’s representative agency for many years. They enjoyed travel, golf, and spending time with family and friends. Sandy and Gary shared their love of Jesus by attending church and taking part in bible studies. Sandy’s favorite way to end a prayer was “and all God’s people said Amen!”

Sandy’s devotion to her family was shown in many ways over the years. Cub Scout den mother, enthusiastic supporter for her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events, being there for her grandchildren as their “Grammy” was one of her greatest joys. Later in life she took up golf, she and Gary enjoyed many golfing vacations across the country.

Sandy is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Gary Miller; her children, Shane (Jodi Horst) Miller of Carmel, IN, Brian (Jodi) Miller of Rockford, IL and Nicole VanBriesen (Ryan Swales) of Destin FL; her grandchildren, Hayden Miller, Ashley Menting, Kaylie Miller, Kelsie Miller, and Jake Miller; and other beloved family members and friends who will cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Luella Foster, and her sisters, Carole and Marcia.

The family will host a memorial service in Sandy’s memory on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 4850 E. Main Street, Carmel, IN 46033. Refreshments to follow the service.
