Sara (Smith) Brown

Sara (Smith) Brown, 36, Mooresville, passed away February 6, 2022. Sara was born November 8, 1985, in Spencerport, New York, to the late Robert Smith and Anita (Roberts) Smith, who survives. Sara married John Brown on January 11, 2013, and he also survives.
Sara graduated from Ben Davis High School and recently earned her teaching degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. She did her teaching internship at the Brooklyn STEM Academy. Sara was a kindergarten teacher at Liberty Early Elementary School in Decatur Township. Sara had also been employed at Eli Lilly, but her most cherished vocation was that as a stay-at-home mom to her beloved sons. Sara was a loving wife, mother, and daughter who had a smile that could light up any room. She loved horses, river fishing, camping, and loved the ocean. She had an exceptionally close relationship with her mom. Sara also loved music, dancing, and creating lasting memories with her family. Sara’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving family and friends.
Sara was preceded in death by her grandmother, Phyllis Felix.
She is survived by her husband, John; sons, Chase Brown, Trenton Vanhook, Seth Kruse, and Paxon Brown, mother, Anita Smith; brother, Wyatt Smith; sister, Genesa Schultz.
Sara’s Life Celebration® Visitation will be Friday, February 11, 2022, 5 to 8 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 3 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mooresville Cemetery.
