Scott A. Palmer

Scott A. Palmer, 60, of Mooresville, was born in Indianapolis on July 29, 1963, to the late Walter Palmer ll and Judith (Plew) Quillen, and she survives.

Scott possessed a big heart and a pure soul, despite a lifetime of many illnesses. He was an inspiration to many during an active life of fun vacations, sporting events, and attending Handicapable Camp of Bradford Woods every summer, which was started by his stepfather, Jim Quillen, of Mooresville, because of Scott.

Scott’s fragile body finally succumbed to his many health issues on November 19, 2023, at his residence with his mom and sister wishing him a gentle journey to his final destination in Heaven.

His family sincerely wants to thank IU Hospice and their many caregivers (angels) for their compassionate care!

A memorial visitation will be held in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory on Friday, December 1, 2023, from 12 Noon until 3:00 P.M, with the memorial service beginning at 3:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made in Scott’s honor to the Handicapable Camp at Bradford Woods, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory has been entrusted with Scott’s cremation arrangements.

  1. To Judie and Stacey, I share in your loss. Scotty was such a joy with an infectious smile. He was a caring person with a big heart, like both of you. Even though he is gone too soon, I know he had a great life with family, pets, Cub Scouts, Special Olympics, Handicapable Camp, his jobs, his friends, and so much more. I wish I had known him when he was younger. With me, he loved to look for new ball caps and superheroes. And he really loved his cheeseburgers and shakes! And he was so smart with puzzles and memory matching games! I really enjoyed my time with him, and I will miss him too.

  2. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. We share so many great memories around the Quillen household with Scott.
