Sharon Kay (Hawkins) Dykes
77, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2022. Sharon was born to the late Harold and Louise Hawkins on March 6, 1945 in Beech Grove, Indiana. Sharon worked at Kroger in Mooresville for many years, where she made many lifelong friends.
Sharon is survived by her children; Deanna (Joe) Dykes-White, Kimberly Brewster-McCubbin, Allen (Sherrie) Dykes, Jodi (Billy) Brewster-Tilford and Kathy Dykes; nine grandchildren; Shianne, Ashlea, Brandon, Morgan, Megan, Tayler, Billie-Jo, Kacey and Cooper; seven great grandchildren, Dakota, Ethan, Alexis, Kylie, Piper, Olivia, Kamryn, Alex, Melody and Benjamin, sisters; Linda (Jon) Kennemore and Shawneka (Chuck) Walters, along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.
The family of Sharon extend their heart felt gratitude to all of her friends at Kroger in Mooresville, the staff at Morgan County Cancer Center, I-U Hospital Cancer Center and to the Heart to Heart Hospice team for their exceptional care.
Sharon is preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years; Charles Dykes and brothers; Ralph, John, Raymond, Carl, Russell and her twin David, sisters; Pat and Margaret.
Family and friends will gather for visitation in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 12:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the start of the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Sharon’s honor can be made to the American Cancer Society (5635 W. 96th St. Ste.100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278).

My beautiful aunt, namesake and one of the loves of my life. I love you, I always have-always will. Your laugh and zest for life was contagious. Most of my best childhood memories are with you and at your house. Thank you for loving all of us and not telling the other cousins that I was your favorite❤️ I can’t wait to see your smile and hear your laughter in glory. I love you Aunt Sharon
Give pappy and papaw jim big big hugs for me. I will always remember and cherish every memory I have with you❤️ And will continue passing on the memories of catching lightning bugs and camping to my little ones❤️ I’m so thankful you were able to meet them. Until I see you again. ~Pooh~
