Sharon L. McKim

 82, of Mooresville, passed away on March 16, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family. Sharon was born on June 6, 1941 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Milburn White and Betty (Ward) Dearmond.

Sharon grew up on Indy’s Westside and was a proud graduate of Ben Davis High School. She worked for Hook’s Drug Store, Marsh Supermarkets and most recently as a cashier at Wendy’s. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her kids and grandkids.  She was an avid reader, and enjoyed puzzles, playing games especially Rummy. She will be remembered for her compassion, kindness, as well as her generosity. She was always there for others, whether to pray, share a kind word of encouragement, to give a hug, or a snack, whenever it was needed most.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Kimmy Skeens.

She is survived by her daughters Chrissy Herrod (Hearl), Abby Utterback (Vince); son Michael McKim (Angie); grandchildren Becky, Kristy, Corey, Jessie, Joey; great grandchildren Emily, Madisyn, Savanna, Brooke, Peyton, Angel, Lucy, and Mia, who will all miss her dearly.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held privately.
