Sherri A. Briggs

Sherri A. Briggs, 55, of Mooresville, passed away suddenly on October 16, 2012, in her residence. She was born on February 23, 1957, in Martinsville, to William and Doris (Taylor) Melton.

Sherri graduated from Martinsville High School in 1975. She worked as a tester for Automotive Armature and Harmon Motive. She also worked in the packing department for the Target Distribution Center. Sherri loved being with her family and especially enjoyed spoiling her two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Melton; brothers, Alan Melton, and Wayne Melton.

Survivors include her son, Joshua Briggs (Mindy Lawless) of Mooresville; daughter Ashley Arnold (Bryan) of Florida, formerly of Mooresville; brothers, David Melton of Martinsville, Tom Melton of Colorado; sisters, Anita Canada of Brooklyn, Tracy Boritzki of Florida; grandchildren, Deakon Brauer and Derek Arnold of Florida; companion, William Simpson of Mooresville.
