Shirley J. Moore
69, of Mooresville, passed away on January 6, 2021 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. Shirley was born on December 3, 1951 in Seattle, Washington to the late Roberta L. (Beason) and John Henry Moore.

Shirley worked as an underwriter for American States Insurance for many years before retirement. She was a faithful member of the Eternal Life Baptist Church as well as the National Association of Insurance Women, Indiana Chapter. A kind hearted lady, Shirley was generous with her time and treasures as she would help anyone in need. She enjoyed doing cross-stitch and scrapbooking in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Mary Susan and Sandra Kay Moore.
She is survived by her brother John Moore; niece Heather Dilley; great nephews Jonathon and Robert Dilley as well as a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, January 11, 2021, 12 Noon - 2 p.m., at the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will follow at 2 p.m., with Gary Fox, II officiating. All guests attending visitation and/or services will be required to wear a mask at all times in an effort to promote a safe environment. You are also invited to watch the services via live stream on the Carlisle Branson Facebook page.

  1. We first met Shirley in 2004 at Eternal Life Baptist Church. She was an outgoing lady. We loved her from the first time we met. She was always a great person to help in any way. I remember her and her mother Roberta and her sister Susan doing a lot for the work of the Lord. Dave and I send our condolences to the family.

  2. Shirley was a very sweet lady. I enjoyed meeting her at Eternal Life and so glad our lives crossed paths. She would help anyone and loved scrapbooking with her. May she rest now with the Lord. Prayers for her family and friends.
