Shirley J. Moore
90, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2022. Shirley was born in Greentown, Indiana on December 13, 1931, to the late Henry and Bertha Suter. She married the love of her life, Cecil Moore on October 10, 1960.
Shirley loved her tight knit community and was a Mentor to many. She was Matron of Eastern Star in Mooresville and Greenwood, a member of Kappa-Kappa Sigma, Grand Chief of Pythian Sisters and involved in Job’s Daughter’s of Mooresville. Shirley was also a member of Eternal Light Baptist church for over 20 years, where she played piano. Shirley loved to travel and stay busy. She also loved to crochet, she loved her pups and she especially loved to bake. Any day spent with family was a great day in Shirley's world.
Shirley is survived by her daughters; Barbara Hartley and Sandra (Edward) Pitcock, son; Ronald Moore, 5 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her loving husband; Cecil Moore, son; Richard Moore and brothers; Lawrence, William, Burl, James and Thomas Suter.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory from 4:00pm-7:00pm with an Eastern Star Service immediately following. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 10:00am with visitation 30 minutes prior. Bural will take place at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.

Shirley was a wonderful lady. I was honored to know her at Eternal Life. So glad our lives crossed many years ago. Prayers to all her family and friends.
Heaven gained a beautiful angel. Aunt Shirley was an amazing woman and friend to everyone. She was a God fearing and church loving woman. She was an Eastern Star. Her niece Trina ‘Moore’ Boots and great niece Stephanie ‘Boots’ Brown will miss her dearly
