Susan R. Tyree

63, of Bloomington, passed away on March 25, 2019 at Bloomington Hospital. Susan was born on August 8, 1955 in Bloomington, Indiana to the late Loren “Butch” Gastineau and Anne (Frye) Gastineau.

Her family described Susan as carefree, crazy, fun loving, wild, hilarious and sometimes a little obnoxious. However, it was her big, kind, caring heart that will be most missed by her family and friends.

Susan used her big heart in caring for others as a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant for several local nursing homes, most recently at Richland-Bean Blossom Health Care in Ellettsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Leo Tyree III; sisters Jennifer Jo Gastineau, Patty Gastineau and Lisa Higgins.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Barbara Vandagrifft (David Tavernier); sisters Nikki Gastineau, Tonya Ames (Mike), Mary Gastineau Stout, Lynda Gastineau; 3 grandchildren A.J. Vandagrifft (April), Haley Vandagrifft (Cody Mason), Jesse Tyree, 2 great grandchildren Ayden Vandagrifft, Milley Kaye Mason; nieces and nephews Michael Gastineau (Amie), Tyler Stout (Cheyleigh), Tre Nordo (Sadie), Olivia Nordo and great niece and nephew Annaleigh Gastineau and Fisher Gastineau.

According to her wishes, she will be cremated and memorial services will be held privately at a later date.

Final arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
