Suzanne Gail Warren

May 16, 1951 ~ June 30, 2021
Suzanne Gail Warren, 70, of Mooresville, Indiana passed away peacefully June 30th, 2021, at home. Suzanne was born on May 16, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Maurice and Margaret (Koczan) Umbaugh. She married Richard Warren November 15th, 1971. Suzanne graduated from Indiana University in 1979 with a degree in Business and retired from Procter & Gamble in 2009.
Suzanne’s journey through life often found her camping with friends and family in her early years of marriage to Richard, and eventually with her son. Her travels for work and pleasure took her from sailing the San Francisco Bay, the emerald-green mountains of Washington, the majestic Rocky Mountains, the rocky shores of Maine, the waterfalls of Jamaica, the Big Easy of Bourbon Street, and to the mountains and beaches of the Hawaiian Islands to name a few. Her favorite things in life were strolls on the beach on the Islands of Hawaii, and the Gulf Coast of Florida with her husband Richard, reading a good book, and playing the classic games Solitaire and Scrabble. She was a loving wife, and devoted mother and grandmother. Her biggest pleasures in life were her family and her three grandchildren, who will miss her deeply.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her brother Rick Umbaugh.
Suzanne’s surviving family members include her loving husband, Richard Warren; son Jeffrey Warren; her grandchildren, Raine, Grace, and Faith Warren; siblings, Frank (Debby) Umbaugh, Janice Richards, Doug Umbaugh, and JoLynn Wagner; nephews, Andrew Richards, Ian Richards, Tim Umbaugh, and Patrick Umbaugh; aunt, Shirley Koczan; and lifelong best friend, Carol Schaal.
Per Suzanne’s wishes she will be cremated, and no services will be observed. A Celebration of Life will be planned to remember and commemorate her legacy. Please visit www.CarlisleBranson.com to share a favorite memory or to sign the online guest registry.
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I am learning the loss of Sue to our lifetime. She was a treasured friend while working with her at Procter & Gamble here in Florida. We lost touch for a short period of time, and recently reconnected on Facebook. I was thrilled to catch up on Sue’s life and family! Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Suzanne was a friend of mine from high school. Carol and I and other friends would pick her up on our walk to school, although she had a much shorter walk than us! I always remember her as being extremely kind so I’m sure she will be greatly missed. I’m very happy to hear that she stayed lifelong friends with Carol. Sincere condolences- Pam(Richardson) Beery
