Virginia Lee Gibson
86, of Mooresville, passed away on February 14, 2022 at her home. Virginia was born on March 21, 1935 in Dolan, Indiana to the late John Boltinghouse and Katherine (Godsey) Boltinghouse.

Virginia was a wonderful mother and cook. She worked as a cook for Damar and Miller’s, Merry Manor in Mooresville for several years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, canning, and traveling to Florida. She married Samuel Gibson, Jr of Waverly on November 4th, 1949 and were married 50 years at the time of his passing. She will be missed by a loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Gibson, 3 sisters, 2 brothers and 2 great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons Samuel (Lisa) Gibson, Timothy (Ronda) Gibson, Gary (Actcy) Gibson, Charles Gibson, Paul (Judy) Gibson, William Gibson; daughter Janet (Gene) Zimmerman; 26 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Virginia’s life on Thursday, February 17th from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Services will be held Friday, February 18th at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in IOOF Cemetery, Waverly.
