It’s hard to pick just one favorite memory, grandpa Walt, but I, like the rest of us, know I was “your favorite.” You were the gentle giant, the quiet but ever-present grandfather, the #1 Facebook “like,” and the clever rebel. I know that some of my favorite personal traits come from you, and with that knowledge, I know that you’ll live in me forever.
Always the one that could help me through when there was a tough decision to make. So many memories that my heart is full but broken. You stood by my decisions right or wrong, good or bad. Believe me there were plenty of them. You taught me that “With pain there is strength”. You loved us all unconditionally.
Standing behind us and beside us in the best and worst of times, without judgement. We knew you loved us all. The love you and Mom shared was epic. You made an impact on thousands and seeds you planted will continue to grow.
Our love and prayers are with everyone during this difficult time. -Johnson Family
Walt was a member of the New Life Riders Motorcycle Ministry, this is where I got to know him best. Walt was a teaser. He had a knack about him and he could always make me smile. You could never doubt his sincerity, because he always told you” like it was” he never pulled a punch. I am a better person because of the happiness Walt shared with me. Linda Huffman
It was a pleasure meeting Walt for the first time. The handshake with a hug meant a lot to me. I can tell from that moment he was a very proud man. Now it’s time for celebration of life. It’s time to hold your heads up not down because that’s where he is with a smile. God Bless
To my sweet cousins, Myrt, and the whole Collins family, my warmest heartfelt condolences for your loss. Prayers for comfort and much love. (Kimalyn)
I meet Walt at Nicepak over 30 years ago. He took a young man and showed him how to look at life in a very bright way. He was there for me when my dad died. Held me and listened to my stories about him. Through the years he has been a wonderful best friend.
