Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. He was on the Mooresville fire dept. with my dad years ago. I remember Christmas parties and everything at the fire house with him. He was such a wonderful who touched many hearts. Prayers to all

  2. ‘Fudd’ was always quick with a joke or to tease you. He was such an upbeat person and full of life. You couldn’t help but to smile when you were around him. The world will be a sadder place without him.

  3. Warren & I ‘grew up’ together. We were in the Civil Defense, Mooresville FD, & Lifestar together. Wanda, Sandy & I are so sorry for your loss. Words can not ease the pain right now. Lean on family and friends. Wish I knew what to say………

  4. Warren will be greatly missed by many. Warren set many memories for Gary and I growing up as a kid. For me it was a tour of a the MMooresville Fire Dept., a ride on a fire truck in an Old Settlers Parade…probably every kids dream. Im lucky to have met him and growing up with Gary was always an adventure. Im pretty sure Warren laid down the law as a Big Man on me numerous times for causing some mischief that Gary and I got in!. God Bless you guys. My Condolences to Wanda, Linda, Gary & Family. From Steve, Laura, Grayson & Norah Dance

  5. Warren was a dedicated employee at IPL. I always enjoyed working with him. Always eager to learn. Loved to find answers and to do the right thing. In his post retirement from IPL I recieved several ‘Help’ calls from him when he ran into problems working at Pittsboro. I always wanted to help my friend Warren with the technical part of the ‘juice’ business. He would always say ‘Thanks a Bunch Biggin ! ‘ Rest well my friend…….I lit a candle until we can get lines to where your at….:)

  6. Linda and family, We were so sorry to hear about your dad’s passing. We remember meeting him at a Woman of the Year dinner. You and your familiy are in our prayers, as this is never easy. Hugs to you! Katy, Russ and Michael Yurk

  7. Warren was a great classmate there wasn’t ever a time that he had a bad word for anyone. You could always depend on him if you needed help with school work. I’m sure he will be sadly miss from all. Prays to his family and friends. From your old school friend Kathy Gill Watts

  8. This is hard. The last time I saw Warren was at Mooresville High School a couple of years ago for the 50 yrs of wrestling program event. He was happy to see everyone as he always did with a big smile and hug. My deepest sympathies to his wife and family. I know he will be missed by all. Randy Murray ( Class of 72 )

  9. I remember Warren as so kind and always smiling. Wanda you and your entire family are in my prayers.

  10. Warren was one of the ‘big kids’ in our neighborhood – but he was always kind to me. It says a lot about someone’s character when they are nice to the pesky little brothers and sisters on the block. I remember him very fondly – and also was very fond of his siblings – Melanie and Wayne, and his son Gary. Heartfelt condolences to all Warren’s family. Angie (Headley) Gunnell

  11. TO MY BEST FRIEND AND ALL WE BEEN THREW AND DID TOGETHER SAY HIGH JB YOU ARE WIT HIM KNOW I WILL MISS YOU BILLY

  12. our thoughts and prayers for the family! He will be missed and the memories will remind us of the the kind and gentle man!

  13. It is with heavy heart that I could not be there for the Grubb Family. But, in spirit I was. I last saw Warren at Stan O’Dell’s Funeral in December. We talked briefly, but in the summer of 2010 at the Wrestlers Alumni we had a good conversation. Warren was the 2nd wrestler in 1972 to compete in the State Championships. He was a Champion on the mat, but more importantly, was a Champion in Life. I put a picture of the grapplers that attended the picnic. Unfortunately, three have passed this earth that are in the picture. It was a pleasure coaching Warren, but most important was the interaction we had. Warren was loved by many. God Bless!
