William Shane Eggers

August 8, 1974 ~ February 14, 2023
William Shane Eggers, of Mooresville Indiana, passed away at Franciscan Health Indianapolis on February 14, 2023. Bill was born in Bloomington, Indiana to Paul William and Barbara Ellen Eggers (Showecker) on August 8, 1974. He was 48 years old.
Bill was a family man, a proud member of Vertical Church in Plainfield, Indiana and a giant goofball. All those in Eminence, Indiana, knew who Bill Eggers was and can remember the years he spent working there as an EMT or as a member of the Volunteer Fire Department, both of which he was immensely proud and honored to be a part of.
Bill was an avid reader and watcher of history. He was able to read a book and remember details of it for years afterwards. He also would watch the History channel whenever his beloved Colts weren’t playing football. A former Eagle Scout, he also enjoyed going outdoors whenever he could.
Bill’s real love was spending time with his family. If you met him on the street, you wouldn’t know he would spend hours setting up holiday yard inflatables for his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. His greatest joy was making his kids and others laugh.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Paul William Eggers and Barbara Ellen Eggers (Showecker); and brother Tom Wayne Jarrett.
Bill is survived by his wife Mina Eggers; son Zachariah Xavier Eggers; daughter Genevieve Elisabeth McNicholas (Jacob); sister Shelly Hooper (Lance); stepson Tyler Jonathon Lee Mitchell; step-daughter Johnna Raedawn Kristina Ivory (Joe); grandchildren Adaline Jade McNicholas, Alyssa Catherine Ivory, Calvin Joseph Richard Ivory, Eloise Virginia Ivory, and several nieces and nephews.
