May you be blessed beyond measure. With Love, Pershing & Company We have contributed to Churches in Mission in memory of Zach.
Oh my, I was so shocked to hear of Zach’s passing. He was one of my “kids” at Hall and I have fond memories of him. I saw him when I voted and we had a brief conversation. He was a special person. The world will be a sadder place without him. Cynthia Rogers

Dear Shelley and Ted, I was so sorry to learn of Zachary’s passing. May wonderful memories of his life sustain you in days to come, and may the Heavenly Father surround you with his peace and comfort. Loyally, Sue Menefee
Zach has been an integral part of the McCollum family: He was loved as a grandson-by-choice by Cecil and Sylvia. He was the first young man to gallantly present flowers to Megan at a Canyon Inn breakfast with Grams, Gramps, Ted, and Shelley. His senior year of high school, he was one of three students in AP English, and throughout that class he shared his global perspective and his exceptional culinary knowledge. Tim, Megan, and I looked forward to great conversation with him at social gatherings. He educated me about Muslim banking and international finance when I reviewed a few of his collegiate papers. . . . Zach will be missed for so many reasons but especially for his humble attitude, his smile that would begin hesitantly and then illuminate his entire presence, and his sincere desire to positively influence those around him. Although his mission on this earth was far shorter than any of us anticipated, its brevity does not, in any way, diminish its impact. Tim and Susan James and Megan James Koenig
Aunt Shelley and Uncle Ted we are so saddened to know that we are without our cousin Zach. Our hearts are broken alongside yours. We look back to great memories together at your house in Indiana, Hilton Head Island, and at the Braves stadium!! We shared many a laugh and many a great memory over the years. Though we grieve now, we are not like those who have no hope as Heaven just got a little sweeter and we look forward to our family reunion there. We love you!!! The Calls- Doug, Amanda and Alex

Ted and Shelly, Zachary was such a blessing, as are you and Ted. He will be greatly missed. One of our favorite memories was our “family” meal together at Charlie Brown’s in Speedway. What a special day that was. We are so glad he was able to share it with us. We are thinking of you all and praying for you daily. Please reach out for anything you might need. Howard, Sarah and Molly Knight
I had the chance to take a training course at Subaru Automotive with Zach. He was really funny and helped to provide insight into an aspect of Subaru I had never considered: parts acquisition and customs. My condolences to the family.
I was so sorry to hear the news about Zach’s passing. I work in the cafeteria at Subaru and Zach was one of our favorite customers! He always made these amazing picture-perfect salads and credited their beauty, not to his artistry, but to what he called ” our amazing salad bar with all his favorite choices “. He had the greatest smile and an unforgettable laugh! It was my pleasure to serve him because he always brightened my day. His afternoon visits for lunch will be greatly missed! My prayers are with the family.
I have fond memories of Zach sitting in my 10th grade English class at Monrovia Jr-Sr High School. A conscientious and hard-working student, Zach’s attentive, earnest face was always so reassuring to see as I gazed out at a roomful of otherwise distracted high-school sophomores. What a welcome sight. I remember Zach’s sense of humor, too – the grins he flashed as we chatted before or after class about this or that, about the golf team or the Indiana State Fair (state fairs and high school golf teams were new to me as a New York City-bred teacher recently arrived in Indiana, so Zach had a lot to tell me). May his memory be a blessing.
