65, of Mooresville, passed away on April 12, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family. Chris was born on November 25, 1956 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Kenneth and Ethel Steelman.
Chris was a graduate of Monrovia High School and went on and established a career in Excavating where he worked for the next 40 years. He spent the end of his career as part of the team of Weihe Construction. Chris loved to spend time with his grandchildren and could be seen attending many of their school events such as, band, soccer, baseball, marching band, choir and dance. Chris loved nothing more than have all five of his daughters under one roof for dinners and holidays. On Sunday’s he could be found watching NASCAR or heading out for a ride on his Harley Davidson!
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Steelman. They would have celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary in May. Daughters; Dawn (Dave) Steelman, Christi Steelman, Mandi (Angel) Steelman, Cortney (Chris) Arthur and Erin (David) Bennett, grandchildren; Austin “The Terminator”, Dominik, Chelsey. Hunter, Sierra, Emma, Thomas, Finley, Ayvah, Tristan, Sofia and Tanner, along with great-grandsons; Denver and DJ and sisters; Teresa (Andy) Bratt and Marti (Rob) Beeler.
Visitation will take place on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 11am-1pm at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 1pm. Chris will be laid to rest at Mooresville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Chris Steelman to assist with funeral arrangements and
Funeral costs.

Chris Steelman, I meant you and your family in 1977 my first year at Monrovia High School. You were always very funny, you always called me peaches, as time went on and you married your beautiful wife Linda we became Neighbors and we had a lot of fun times, I am so sorry to the family my love thoughts and prayers are with you.
