A youth pastor has few constants, it is the nature of the job. One constant I had in my years of youth pastoring was I always knew Max was praying for me. He held the youth up in prayer regularly. Thanks Max for your love and support of the youth not only at Grace but in the whole Mooresville area. You made a difference, You finished the race well. God bless Max’s family Marti Lambert

Rosemary and kids, was so sorry to hear of Max’s passing. Wish I could be there to show support. He was a great friend to my folks and a kind and gentle soul. May your wonderful memories get you through your grief. Larry & Sandy Harlow
Chris and I were so blessed by Max’s deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Max started the Upward program at Grace, and encouraged Chris to become Commissioner. Our lives will forever be changed due to that awesome program. His prayers touched us all, and we will look forward to seeing him again when we all get to heaven. Condolences to the family. What a special man! Chris & Nikki Perry
I will always remember Max as a man transformed by the love of Jesus. He was an awesome prayer warrior. I always loved to see him umping the softball games at Sonshine Park and coaching the Grace Church softball team. Max always seem to have a way about him that when he looked at you, he could see deep into your soul, always looking for the best. I always appreciated the excitement and promise he could see in the multitude of younger generations that were a part of his life through the years. I loved Max for keeping an eye out for that 1 sheep that had strayed, and celebrating their return. He always had his eye towards those who where looking for something more and that something more was the same Jesus that had transformed him. I will carry of piece of Max in my heart forever because of all these things. I am a better man because of his influence and example. Love ya Max, well done good and faithful servant, well done brother, well done… steve bowman
