Marla Jean Medcalf, 40 Mooresville, passed away November 21, 2018. Marla was born August 21, 1978, in Beech Grove, to Carl Cochran of Kentucky and Janet Land of Mooresville.
Marla struggled with health problems through the years, but that never got in her way of being a loving mother and always putting others before herself. She loved animals, especially her dogs. She also enjoyed crafts – sewing and painting. Marla also had a great sense of humor, never met a stranger, and was known for her gift of gab. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends.
Survivors include her children, Katelyn Unterreiner, Noah Unterreiner, and Madeline Medcalf; mother, Jan (Tom) Land; father, Carl Cochran; brothers, Ricky, Jeff, and Steve Cochran; sister, Carla Petry.

I went to high school with Marla. She was always so sweet to me. She will be missed.
